The Criminal Defence team's primary objective is to persuade the CPS that a prosecution should not be brought. Early investigation of the circumstances that gave rise to the incident allows representations to be made to the police or to the CPS and can change the way in which they view a case.
If a prosecution is brought, we will thoroughly analyse the Prosecution’s evidence and assemble as much evidence as possible to support a defence. Over the years we have carefully selected a team of experts and specialist counsel who are particularly effective in defending road traffic prosecutions. Our Criminal Defence team has achieved a consistently high rate of success.
If a plea of guilty is judged to be the best option, we will seek to negotiate a Basis of Plea which fairly represents the admitted facts so that the sentence has the best chance of being light. If the facts cannot be agreed with the prosecution, the necessary application for determination of this issue will be made.
