Tom joined Greenwoods' Manchester office as a partner in 2009. He had previously spent over 15 years in a international law firm in Leeds, Sheffield and Manchester dealing with defendant personal injury claims and policy advice.

Tom has a diverse case load of motor, EL and PL claims including catastrophic injury claims and complex claims involving stress, harassment and abuse. He also handles the defence of Health and Safety Executive prosecutions.

Tom has a specialist expertise in handling police malfeasance claims and employer liability claims and property and motor claims for a number of police forces.Tom has provided policy advice on wide range of issues relating to employment concerns, health and safety, risk management, best practice and national input for Forces. He also has assisted with advising on representations to the Association of Chief Police Officers.

Much of Tom's spare time is occupied with his young son but he also finds the time to do some cooking and play the odd game of football or round of golf . He sadly only spectates now the odd rugby and cricket game and the imminent rise (he hopes) of his now league one football team.
