Michael qualified in 1976 and throughout his career, has acted for insurers. He has undertaken a range of high value property, contractual and fire claims but has specialised, over the last five years, in Catastrophic Injury Claims for leading motor insurers. Prior to joining Greenwoods in 2006, Michael ran his own specialist practice. He was a Founding Examiner for the Law Society's Personal Injury Panel and a Contributor to Lord Woolf's Reforms of the Civil Procedure Rules in 1999. Michael is a keen proponent of claims settlement by interface negotiation. Nevertheless he has also developed a reputation for successfully contesting and reducing Claimants' costs claims. Michael's outside interests include sailing and the theatre. |
