Chambers UK Guide - Greenwoods top ranked in Chambers 2009 Guide
The 2009 edition of the Chambers UK Guide again lists Greenwoods London defendant personal injury team as one of only 4 firms in Band 1. Malcolm Henke was listed in Band 1 as a defendant personal injury lawyer, Tanja Neuhoff was identified as "up and coming." The full entry reads:

The market views Greenwoods as a “highly effective, quality firm” specialising in liability and catastrophic injury work. With an array of significant insurance clients such as Churchill, Direct Line, Provident and Virgin Trains, the group has handled some very high-value matters and accrued an excellent reputation. Head of the catastrophic injury group, Malcolm Henke receives numerous endorsements as a “leading litigator and negotiator,” who is “straight and fair, enlightened on the question of interim payments, and one of the best in the field.” Sources describe the “innovative and sensible” Paul Davies as a “pragmatic lawyer who is keen to talk through the issues and come up with a proper settlement.” He has a notable presence on high-value catastrophic injury claims. Steven King, who leads the liability insurance group, “plays fair, gets the job done properly and gains a great deal for clients while also saving them costs.” Tanja Neuhoff handles large loss insurance work, particularly claims involving the railway industry. She “knows exactly what she’s talking about and gets to the crux very quickly.”

A new office in Manchester has amplified this firm’s national coverage. Fielding lawyers with “reassuring levels of expertise,” the firm has been involved in a number of complex and sensitive cases over the past year. It continues to act for insurers, although its client base encompasses a broad spectrum of clients. Two highly regarded lawyers are engaged in health and safety activity. Richard Tovell “has a thorough understanding of the law and knows the health and safety field inside-out,” and wins plaudits for his work on the defence side. Stephen Byass combines extensive knowledge with “an admirable ability to understand the sensitivity of the area.” He has acted for both companies and individuals in cases involving fatal accidents."
