The HSE and the Environmental Services Department of the Local Authority have wide powers to serve Improvement and Prohibition Notices on businesses. These can be extremely damaging to the insured, since they can disrupt or stop production, or make the business uncompetitive.
It may be possible to challenge these Notices on the grounds that they are unnecessary, unrealistic or over-punitive. Greenwoods will prepare evidence based on industry practice and, if necessary, apply to the relevant tribunal.
