Greenwoods has a strong product liability team handling a wide range of work, often with an international aspect. In defending liability claims such as these, all our legal, insurance and technical skills come together.
We scrutinise the coverage of the policy and the precise application of that coverage to the facts of the case. Beyond that, we examine any contractual and commercial issues to determine whether ultimate liability rests with any other businesses along the production chain.
In recent years, we have successfully defended claims against, amongst many others: manufacturers of refrigeration equipment for chilled delivery; plumbing installations; electrical goods; marine equipment; metal bolts and fasteners; toughened glass; peat-based compost; and industrial solvents.
We also handle a large number of product liability claims involving personal injury.
