Richard was admitted as a solicitor in 1986 and has always specialised in technically orientated material damage and construction/engineering related claims. He joined Greenwoods in 2002 having, until then, been based in the City. Richard deals with all classes of major MD/BI losses as well as coverage disputes, involving the whole range from fire and flood through to non-disclosure and fraud. He is an accredited mediator.
In recent years, Richard has been involved particularly in major fire losses concerning combustible core panels and kitchen air extraction systems and has been involved in developing best practice guides for the investigation of such fires.
Richard is a member of the firm’s Management Board.
